Again fantastic comeback

for young DARK DOG rider Baldolini

Assen, Netherlands: The first two days of this Dutch Iveco TT Grand Prix where fatally affected by the ever changing weather conditions, which penalized particularly the NGM Forward Racing Team.

Due to the rain starting just when Jules Cluzel left the pit box for his time attack during the qualifying, the young French rider had to face the race from the eighth row on the starting grid. His teammate Alex Baldolini was still looking for the ideal setup when the track conditions changed and qualified finally on 28th position.

On race day Alex Baldolini had another convincing comeback race. He caught up seventeen positions and won five important points. Once again the Italian rider proved to be very competitive on difficult track conditions and for the third time in a row Alex was able to improve a huge number of positions by showing his determination and competitive spirit which will probably allow him to call attention on himself during other occasions of this season.

For Jules Cluzel the race ended with an inexplicable crash. He found himself in the grabble during the warm-up lap even before the start lights got green. The young French rider recovered his bike and faced the races anyway, but after only two laps he crashed out again. The second accident was probably due to damage caused during the first one and the exact reason has still to be investigated with the help of the telemetry details. The whole DARK DOG team is looking forward to the next race on 3rd of July in Mugello, Italy, and wishes both riders good luck and MORE ENERGY.

"What a race; I never crashed out during the warm-up lap and I am really disappointed that I compromised my race even before starting it. We still not have figured out exactly what happened, but I found myself on the ground almost without realizing it. I tried to start the race anyway but I felt that the bike was not ok. Now I just hope to show a better performance next week."

11th position
"I tried to handle a good start, but I was jammed in the first corner. At this point I thought that considering the conditions it would have been better to take some more time to find my rhythm, and try to push harder during the second half of the race. In fact, in the middle of the race my gap from the lap time of the fastest, like Marquez, was less than half a second. Furthermore it was really hard to pay attention for the whole duration with such fast-changing conditions. In any case I cannot complain about this eleventh place, especially considering my starting position on grid. But for the race in Mugello we absolutely have to improve our performance during all practice sessions. I really like the next track and I am truly confident that together with my team we will be able to improve my feeling with the bike, even because as we are in Italy I would love to do a good race in front of my fans."
